Approximately once every 4 to 6 weeks, 8 weeks minimum.

Why does it need done?

It helps keep their coats shiny and healthy. Washing removes all of the dander that builds up on a dog's coat and drying blasts away any excess hair to help with brushing and de-shedding. Drying also gives groomers good visualisation of the skin to check for any skin conditions, ticks, and potential issues with a dog's coat.

How often does it need done?

Between 4 to 6 weeks is ideal, 8 weeks minimum. We recommend not washing & drying dogs more than once a month because this can lead to dog's skin and coat drying out and potentially to skin conditions.

Important information

A wash & dry is not suitable for matted dogs. Dogs with matted hair require a full groom to remove matting and ensure your dog's hair and skin is healthy.

Clipped grooms are primarily for stylized purposed. It can be good to get a breed standard cut or pet cut depending on your and your dog's lifestyle - for example, it can be helpful to keep dog's hair short or medium length to reduce upkeep and maintenance at home between grooms.

Dogs with double drop coats, silks coats, or wool coats such as Shih Tzu, Lhasa Apso, Cocker Spaniel, Yorkie, Long-haired Dachshund, Bichon Frieze, and Poodles (and anyone in the poodle family, e.g., Labradoodle, Cockapoo).

Dog's ears, especially long ears, can get bacterial infections so it's important to pluck all of the hair that's ready to come away and clean them out to remove anything that can potentially cause infection.
